Edytro ships a remote MCP server, so AI assistants can edit images for you: ask ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Codex to remove a background, upscale a photo, or change something in an image — the finished file comes back as a hosted URL.

Install the Edytro plugin from the marketplace (works in the ChatGPT desktop app, Codex CLI, and the IDE extension):

Can ChatGPT edit images with Edytro?
Yes. Connect the Edytro MCP server once, then ask ChatGPT to remove a background, upscale an image, or make a specific edit. The finished image comes back as a hosted URL you can download or share.
Does it work in Claude or Cursor?
Yes. Edytro speaks the standard Model Context Protocol over streamable HTTP, so any MCP client — Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Codex, ChatGPT — can connect to the same server URL.
How much does it cost?
Each operation spends credits from the connected account. Background removal and upscaling cost 3 credits; edits and generation cost 6–32 depending on the model and resolution. Failed tasks are refunded automatically.
Do I need an API key?
No for OAuth clients — connecting opens your browser to authorise the Edytro account, and every tool call is scoped to that account. Per-user API keys are also available in your dashboard for personal use.
